As you guys may or may not know I am a sucker for concert tickets. Concerts are one of my favorite things to go to and they are just so fun. One of my goals this year was to actually go to at least 3 concerts lol. At the beginning of this year, I went to an Eric Church concert that you can read about here. Then I went to a Chris Lane Concert last Thursday!
I don’t know if you guys have ever heard of Chris Lane, but he is a smaller country artist. He mainly opens for people, but at this concert he was the headliner. So the venue was pretty small as you could imagine. I think I paid $35 for my pit ticket and my friend and I got super close to the stage.
We arrived at the venue around 6 and went straight to the bathroom. After that we went ahead and got into the pit. This venue had like no security. They didn’t even scan your ticket when you went through, you literally just showed them the email. So people could have easily cheated the system.
This concert was the first time I have ever stood in a pit, and I am not sure how I feel about it yet. I like being able to stand up and dance, but the part where you can’t leave your spot without it getting taken, or being pushed around was not so fun.
He had three people open for him. The first artist was a local band called Murphy 500. They are a cover band and sing really good! The second artist was Jordan Rainer, and the third was Mackenzie Porter! I think my favorite out of all three of those was Mackenzie Porter! She was super good and you guys should definitely check her out.
Personally, I feel like having three people open is a bit too much. I mean you are getting a lot for your money, but I would have rather seen Chris Lane perform for another hour than a cover artist.
Chris didn’t take the stage till 9. He sang lots of his own songs and a few cover ones. He started out by singing his hit song “Fishin” and ended with “All I Do is Win.” Chris was super interactive with the crowd! He brought his young nephew out twice and brought up a girl on stage and sang to her. It was awesome, I loved his crowd involvement.
The only downside to his performance was that he only sang for a hour. I know that he doesn’t have that many songs, but I still would have loved to hear him sing for longer! After he played his ending song my friend and I sprinted out of there lol. Typically, I am someone that leaves concerts like a song or two early in order to beat the rush.
Overall, I would highly recommend seeing him in concert! I know that I will definitely be back to watch him!
So far my next concert is to see Florida Georgia Line in August! I also got a pit ticket for that too, so we will see how it goes! Thanks for reading.
Hope you guys are having a great day!
