I am sure you all know that uncomfortable feeling down in your belly that makes you want nothing more than to get away from a crowd of people and let it all out. Or when you go out to eat with your boyfriend, and 30 minutes later it all hits you. Yeah that is like one of the worst feelings ever, or at least for me it was. I thought that was just normal and something that I was just going to have to deal with for the rest of my life, but that is not the case. Today I am going to share with you some of the small switches I have made to stop bloating once and for all!
Identify What Foods Make You Bloat
This is a lot easier said than done, believe me. But more than likely you do notice when some foods affect you more than others. I am one of those poor souls who cannot drink carbonated beverages without getting the biggest bloated belly. So I slowly stopped drinking those. If you are a big soda addict I recommend switching soda for these things called fizz sticks. I talk about them all the time, and they are truly my holy grail. But if those aren’t your thing, then maybe just replace your soda with something that isn’t carbonated.
Next I ate purely an allergen free and natural diet for about two weeks. It isn’t as hard as it sounds, because you can still eat meat and other yummy foods just make sure they don’t have processed stuff in it. Since it is a natural diet that means cutting out dairy, gluten, fructose, wheat and a few other things that you think don’t bother you. Because what you may find out is that even though you aren’t technically allergic to it, it could still be affecting your system in a negative way.
Another food for me is beans. I am sure it has to do with the amount of fiber in them, so staying away from those has definitely helped me to stop bloating.
This is something that I have noticed really helps me to stop bloating. I have been taking this product called digestion plus. It has enzymes in it that breaks down food and just really helps with digestion & gut health. Also, I take these probiotic vitamins that I just got from Walmart. They are pretty basic, and I am honestly not sure if they help a lot or not. I would just try them out for yourself.
Drink Lots Of Water
I don’t know if this is directly correlated to help stop bloating, but it has definitely helped me out. I have been drinking about a gallon a day. The recommended intake of water is different for everyone, but I have noticed this amount has been beneficial for me! It helps to clean everything out and makes me feel good overall. 🙂
Those are my tips you guys! I hope you found them useful! Let me know if you have any tips??
