The Best Workout You Will Ever Get

For some odd reason I love working out. I know that is probably not very relatable, but I believe that once you get in the habit of it you truly grow to love it. I have done many sports and different types of work outs in my day. I am on a competition dance team, and I have recently fallen in love with crossfit.

My love for crossfit began last year when I was a junior in High School. I had a p.e. class where all we did was lift weights. I had never followed a program for lifting weights until this time. I fell in love with it, and wanted to continue doing it even after the school year was over.

Fast forward to summer when I completely fell out of the loop on working out, and all I did was watch tv and eat peanut butter. Lol. The beginning of the school year came and I was really needing to start working out again. I learned that there was a crossfit box down the street, but I was really nervous to go. I made a few calls to the gym and decided the next morning I was going to go to the 5:30 am class. I nervously pulled up to the class, it was a class full of grown men. Needless to say I felt a little out of my comfort zone. We went through the class, and I loved it. It was a great workout, and everyone that went was so friendly and motivating.

The next morning when I woke up I was so sore, but again that morning I woke up and went to the 5:30 am class. I did this religiously for about 3 weeks. After that I really hate to say this, but I started to skip out. Snoozing my alarm telling myself that I would go for a run later instead. The only problem with going to that morning class was that it lasted about an hour, and would put me back at my house by 6:30 am. I know that is still pretty early in the morning, but I live a half hour away from my school so I was always rushing around after my workout. Also, I got a serving job so sometimes that wouldn’t put me home in bed until 11 o clock at night. That is late for a girl who typically goes to bed between 9:30 and 10 pm.

I switched crossfit gyms and started going with a group of girls right after school. We go on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I absolutely love it. I have seen so many changes in my body, and I haven’t even really changed the way I eat. Crossfit is awesome, because it is a very intense workout in about the span of 20m (sometimes more, sometimes less), and then after that you have got your workout in for the day. I can also tell how much stronger I have gotten in just the short time span of 5 months.

I know that crossfit is not for everyone, but I do really recommend doing something to get your heart rate up at least 3x a week. It really does make an impact on your energy levels and overall health!
